Greetings Cardinals,
I hope you are enjoying the up and down temperatures we are experiencing. As I look at the long-range forecast, it appears the trend will continue. I think it is safe to say, we as Missourians, expect craziness in our weather, and the coming month of February can present us with some crazy weather. However, up to this point, we have been very fortunate to have no major weather issues requiring us to cancel school. We have also been blessed with relatively good health in the building to this point in the year. Although I would be lying if I was to say we have not seen days where we have had a significant number of students out due to illness. Throughout the challenges, we have still continued providing uninterrupted learning opportunities for our students, and we intend for this to be our situation throughout the remainder of the year.
If you recall, back in December, we put out a parent survey requesting input to an array of questions concerning your personal feelings about the school. I want you to know that we appreciate your willingness to fill out the survey and that the data collected is being put to good use. As school staff and the Board of Education, we have analyzed the results. These results have generated great conversations regarding the areas we are doing great in while also looking at where we can make improvements. In closing, we are blessed to have a great support system of amazing parents, grandparents, staff members, and community members who are always ready to come together and do great things for our students. So again, I want to thank you for all you do to support The Nest.
