We are happy to introduce you to our newest member of our Cardinal family, DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, SRO, Deputy Russell Oulman. Deputy Oulman comes to us as an 8 yr army vet and 2 years of law enforcement experience with Clay County Sheriff's Office. He is married to an amazing wife, Kayla Oulman, with a 4-year-old son Jackson and daughter Emmi due in December. In Deputy Oulman's free time, he enjoys working on ATVs and dirt bikes. Please help us welcome Deputy Oulman to The Nest.

Over the past 2 months, we have been retooling the entire district with new classroom technology. We are excited to inform you that we will be completing the final phase of this project over Thanksgiving Break. To ensure that all the upgrades work when students return, we will be extending Thanksgiving Break by 1 day. Therefore there will be NO SCHOOL for students on Monday, November 30th. Students will return on Tuesday, December 1st.

Veterans Day Drive Through Celebration Information:
Veterans Day is traditionally an opportunity for us in The Nest to open our doors and celebrate our country and our HEROS. This year may look different, but we intend to continue with the tradition. We will be preparing breakfast for our HEROS for curbside pick-up on Wednesday, November 11th, between 8:45am-9:00am. We ask for our special guest to line up in the main parking lot by 8:45am. At which time, we will have a drive-thru celebration for our HEROS, and meals will be delivered curbside at the elementary entrance.
This event is open to ALL Veterans and Active-Duty Service Members. Please call the school at (816) 669-3258 to place your breakfast order by Monday, November 9th, at 3:00pm.
